We recommend no sun exposure 3 weeks before a laser treatment and two weeks after a laser treatment. This will ensure a safe and effective treatment with no risk of adverse reactions caused by sun exposure.

Caring for your skin after treatments

Before using you regular products, or products with active ingredients such as HQ, retinol, salicylic, AHAs and mechanical exfoliating tools, you want to make sure that the skin is fully healed from the treatment.  You can start using HQ and Vitamin C about 3-5 days after the treatment and retinol 5-10 days after a treatment.

Using post care product will just benefit your skin. The post care products are engineered to calm the skin and heal it faster.

About the treatments

A lot of medical research has been done since 1996; they have proven that laser treatments pose no health risk. There is no direct link between laser hair removal and skin disease or any other health problem. There is still a minimal risk of blistering or irritation.

Usually about 6 treatments are sufficient. On the other hand, in some cases, if for example the client has very dark skin and light hair, or if the individual has been to a tanning salon during the treatment period, it may be necessary to add a few waxing sessions. in order to achieve the desired result. For cosmetic injections and teeth whitening, consider returning every 6 to 8 months.

Laser treatments are much less painful than usually expected. They can be uncomfortable at times but having the latest laser technologies on the market allows us to preform treatments in less time which makes it more comfortable for the patient. That being said, everyone is different and some patients may feel more than others.

The contraindications may vary slightly depending on the treatment but a detailed health history and consult form is to be filled out before starting treatments in order to determine if it is safe to undergo treatment. Women who are pregnant, people taking photosensitive medication, or a recent intense tan (less than 3-4 weeks) are at risk for our laser treatments.

There are very rare side effects like hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, however these effects are mostly transient.

Yes, Acne and acne scars are treated in clinic with a series of chemical peels to get ride of the active acne.
