Wrinkles and fine lines are a part of our skin’s aging process. Injectables are a simple and safe non-surgical procedure in which a highly purified protein (botulinum toxin) is introduced just below the surface of the skin in order to reduce and even eliminate wrinkles and fine lines. These treatments can also be done as a form of prevention. Treatments are done with our in house physician and are recommended every 3-4 months for the most optimal results.
At Dermamode our highly trained and experienced physician conducts this delicate procedure. This non-invasive procedure relaxes the muscles and dramatically smoothes the skin’s appearance while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. A consultation is required before starting the treatment.
Dysport is a purified form of the botulinum toxin. If injected in small amounts on a regular basis can correct fine lines and wrinkles.
It works by blocking nerve signals in the muscles where it is injected. When those nerve signals are interrupted, the affected muscle is temporarily frozen. Without movement of these selected muscles in the face, certain wrinkles may be softened, reduced, or even removed.
Dysport only works on wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement. These are known as dynamic wrinkles, and are often called “expression lines.”
